Week 2 Assignment: Create a Pinterest Board detailing examples & ideas for Social Media use in the Online &/or Blended classroom
End of session reflection
Before this week, I had not really used either Pinterest or Padlet. To be honest, I created accounts for both years ago, but never really found a useful way to use them. I don't think I really "got them". This week's lesson has opened my eyes!
I think I can use both either in school or for school.
Since creating this first Pinterest Board, I have started to create other Boards (see below).
Back to School with organizational and planning information,
Formative Assessment with links to articles and tools on formative assessment, and
Mindfulness in the classroom with information about benefits of mindfulness.
I plan on using Padlet as an exit activity. I plan to update the traditional "what stuck with you?" activity with Padlet. "What stuck with you?" involves asking students to write on a post it note at the end of class "what stuck w/ you today?" and have them literally "stick it" on the board on the way out of class. I plan to digitize this activity w/ Padlet. Digitzing "what stuck with you?" will make it easier to read the posts, and I won't have to take them down to make room for the next class! Also, I will save on post-it notes.
