Assessment
End of session reflection
This week really helped tie the fast seven weeks together! When I first read this week's assignment to add assessments to week 5, I did not understand the relevance. Afterall, I designed a lesson with assessments. I WAS WRONG! Adding the assessments after the fact gave me time to think about the content, and how best to assess it. This week's lesson made me think about the assessment tools I had planned for the unit, and how to improve them.
It also makes me realize that I have a very busy summer ahead as I try to tie all that I learned into my planning for next year. We are going Google next year, so I am excited about learning about Google Apps for Education (GAFE) and Google Classroom. We have a training session in mid July at school, so I hope that will help clarify as I plan my classes for next year.

Student Checklist as a guide to Unit and Summative Assessment
Another idea for Day two in place of the Padlet would be to create"trading cards about a famous physicist, current day physicist, or physics agency using Big Huge Labs. This might also be a fun day one ice breaker and a way for all students to get to know each other. Below is my trading card.
